The logistics industry is growing at a rapid rate with a huge increase of online shopping. The customer for this project, are extending a current hub so they can accept and process more deliveries. The order was placed after the pandemic began and the team at Lӧdige went above and beyond to ensure that the project was kept on track, resulting in a successful completion.
As the company are moving goods and packages belonging to third parties, it is crucial that they are handled in a safe manner. The safest and most secure way to move goods between floors is to use a mezzanine goods lift. The lift on this project was a 2 stop Sherpa G4 which is a good only lift. There is a travel of 9 meters and a large cabin size of 2500 mm x 1500 mm which is a sufficient size to move variable loads of up 2500 kg. The Sherpa is an open protocol product that is designed and manufactured in the Lӧdige Industries factory in Warburg, Germany. The free-standing nature of the lift means that there is no requirement for a lift shaft to be built or a lift pit. There is also no need for a motor room which saves a huge amount of space.
