The customer on this project already has a Lödige goods lift at another site in Birmingham, so they already knew who they would use for lift at the new location. The first lift was installed in the middle of 2019 and the customer is thrilled with the product quality and reliability. There have been no faults or downtime for the lift which is a great self-reference.
In order to follow their company colour theme, the doors on the Sherpa goods only lift have been powder coated Jet Black. The lift is being used to move goods to the storeroom at a new showroom in London. There was no need for an attendant to accompany the goods so the suitable product to use was the Sherpa Goods Only Lift. Loads of 1400 kg can be transported between floors at a speed of 0.2 meters per second. The Sherpa is a free standing goods lift that can move loads of up to 4500 kg without the need for a motor room, lift pit or traditional shaft. The lift was installed within 2 weeks of delivery to site by experience Lödige engineers.
For projects that require an attendant to accompany the goods between floors there is the Escorta Model which also does not require a motor room, lift pit or traditional shaft. For loads above 4500 kg there is a Hydraulic goods/passenger called the Olympus which can move up to 70,000 kg at a time.
