Paderborn, December 20, 2024 – This year, Lödige Industries is supporting the Sterntaler Hilfe für schwerkranke Kinder e.V. association from Ostwestfalen-Lippe with its traditional Christmas donation. The company is honoring this volunteer initiative with a donation of €5,000, which will go directly into the association’s diverse work. Sterntaler’s mission is to support and relieve the burden on seriously and chronically ill children as well as their parents and families.
For the affected families, a child’s serious illness not only brings immense emotional strain but often also significant financial challenges. In cases where health insurance providers or government offices deny funding for necessary support measures or purchases that promote the children’s development or enable a more independent life, Sterntaler steps in quickly. The association provides targeted and individualized assistance: from wheelchair-accessible home or vehicle renovations to covering fuel costs for regular hospital visits or fulfilling the heartfelt wishes of seriously ill children.
“The work of Sterntaler is invaluable because, for 25 years, it has provided families in our region with the support they so urgently need,” said Dr. Tobias Wennekamp, Chief Product Officer at Lödige Industries, during the ceremonial handover of the donation check. Helge Reinck, Chief Finance Officer at Lödige Industries, also emphasized the company’s strong ties to the region: “Ostwestfalen-Lippe is our home, and it is a heartfelt concern of ours to contribute to helping people in challenging life situations.”
In addition to financial support, Lödige Industries aims to raise awareness of Sterntaler’s important work. The association relies on donations and community involvement to assist seriously and chronically ill children and their families.
