Retail levels have grown quicker than expected in the last quarter of 2022 and whilst it is still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, is looking to continue this trend in the run-up to Christmas. As a result, many retail giants are looking to ensure they can keep up. Recently, Lodige has worked with a UK-based retail giant setting up a temporary warehouse to meet demand and in need of commercial lift installation asap.
Lödige were contacted to install a new commercial lift for the retail company’s temporary warehouse. The client has usually used Sherpa lifts but with time being of the essence were flexible. As a result a Serwa commercial lift was installed for the new temporary warehouse, as this is a product we already had in stock and were able to access immediately.
This Serwa is able to move up to 999kg and is installed to have a single stop. This commercial lift will not only save time and increase productivity but will also ensure that health and safety measures are met for those working at the warehouse.
Manual handling causes over a third of all workplace injuries, including pain and injuries to arms, legs, and joints as well as repetitive strain injuries of various sorts. Efficient commercial lifts can help prevent this - alongside manual handling guidance and training - by preventing the need for lifting on stairs or using passenger lifts not designed to be used for goods.
