Vertical goods lift for safe and efficient goods and passenger movement
Multi-passenger transport with ESCORTA - exclusive to Lödige
The ESCORTA vertical goods lift is the ideal solution for easy transportation in multi-level storage and production facilities. Thanks to its new certification (European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC), multiple people can now simply ride in the lift with their goods to the desired floor. This upgrade option eases the flow of goods and people, increases the level of comfort, and makes transporting goods between levels much easier and more pleasant.
In its standard configuration, the ESCORTA vertical goods lift has a load capacity of up to 4,500 kilograms and a lifting height of up to 18 metres (with two to six stopping points). The ESCORTA lift can be individually configured in great detail in terms of size, lifting height, materials and look. Cabin dimensions can vary greatly, with length, width and height reaching nearly three metres each. Additionally, it offers superior safety due to its double brake system.
The lift can be easily integrated into existing buildings or rack systems as no separate machine room is necessary, and the required pit depth can be replaced with the ramp.
The benefits of the ESCORTA vertical goods lift
Move more with the ESCORTA vertical goods lift
Improve business productivity by moving more, in less time.
The SHERPA and the ESCORTA can now move up to 4.5 tonnes, which reduces unloading time and increases throughput. It is now possible to reach similar lifting capacities as a hydraulic lift with all the space-saving benefits of the ESCORTA.
Designed with versatility and ease of implementation, the ESCORTA vertical goods lift features no pit, no machine room and a self-supporting steel frame shaft. As a result, there are much shorter installation times, leading to a smaller overall project cost.

Possible applications of an ESCORTA vertical goods lift:
Production
In production facilities, freight and goods lifts enable the fast and easy movement of goods between different levels. In this way, production processes can be linked and improved across several floors.
Our ESCORTA vertical goods lift not only transports up to 4,500 kg of goods, but can also transport accompanying persons.
Logistics and Distribution
Goods and freight lifts are optimally suited for use in logistics companies. Tailor-made and easy to install, a goods lift can simplify and improve process flows to a high degree.
Extremely compact and space-saving, our ESCORTA vertical goods lift fits into logistics centres and warehouses. It can be integrated into existing as well as new buildings, making it easy to plan.
Event and Shopping Centres
In event and shopping centres, goods and heavy loads have to be transported quickly. With the help of goods and freight lifts, easy transport to different levels at the appropriate delivery points is possible.
What’s more, our ESCORTA vertical goods lift comes complete with a self-supporting steel frame shaft, so there is no need for a machine room or pit. The ESCORTA also offers the possibility of transporting escorts next to the goods, which makes it possible to supervise sensitive goods.
Hospitals
For optimal logistics in hospitals, a goods lift is the perfect solution. Medicine, clean linen and food are delivered daily. A centrally located passenger or bed lift is often not sufficient, as deliveries are almost always at the back of the building.
With a load capacity of up to 4,500 kg, our ESCORTA vertical goods lift is a very efficient solution, as escorts are also allowed to ride along.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
A vertical goods lift, also referred to as a vertical cargo lift or goods lift, is an essential piece of lifting equipment designed to transport goods, materials, or cargo vertically within a building or industrial environment. Unlike traditional methods that rely on manual labour, these lifts utilise a sturdy steel structure and a platform to move items efficiently between different levels, offering a safer and more efficient solution.
One of the standout features of a vertical goods lift is its impressive loading capacity, which is built to handle heavy loads of varying sizes and weights. The lift's load capacity can often be customised to suit specific requirements. Additionally, these lifts can be tailored to accommodate different platform sizes and lifting heights, making them versatile and adaptable for a range of lifting tasks.
Vertical goods lifts are often applied in warehouses, factories, construction sites, and other industrial settings where there is a constant need to move goods and materials between different floors or levels. By automating the lifting and transporting process, these lifts enhance work efficiency, minimise the reliance on manual labour, and subsequently increase overall productivity.
The ESCORTA Lift is designed for user-friendly and effortless operation. Its ability to transport both passengers and goods makes the lifting process seamless, and grants users direct oversight during vertical movement.
Furthermore, there are plenty of customisation options catering to specific needs, ensuring the lift seamlessly aligns with different requirements.
Additionally, the lift's design facilitates integration into existing buildings or rack systems. The space-saving design and elimination of the need for a separate machine room further simplify the installation and operation process. This level of integration minimises the complexity associated with setting up the lift and enhances its overall ease of use.
